If you coach clients online, in person or both, you'll eventually want one app for programmes, nutrition, check-ins and messages. Two names come up a lot: Kahunas and myPTHub (often searched as My PT Hub).
Both give your clients an app to follow their workouts and nutrition, and give you one place to manage them. The differences are in pricing, client limits, branded apps and how well each suits a team.
We'll be upfront about where we stand. We have not used either Kahunas or myPTHub to run client coaching. We've compared them on features and pricing using their public pricing pages, so treat this as a features and pricing comparison, not a user review.

Kahunas also lists wearable integration, messaging with voice notes, a content library and 1-to-1 live onboarding. Its Growth plan adds lead gen forms, automations and bulk client upload.
The pricing difference that actually matters
The two tools price in different ways, and that changes which one is cheaper for you.
Kahunas prices by client count. Essentials covers up to 25 clients, Growth up to 50 and Ultimate is unlimited. Paying yearly brings Essentials down to the equivalent of $26.25 a month and Growth to $51.75 a month. Every plan already includes unlimited workout and nutrition plans and the full food database, so you're mainly paying for more clients and extra features like automations.
myPTHub prices by features and add-ons. The jump from Starter (3 clients) to Premium (unlimited clients) is big, so most working PTs will be looking at Premium or above. From there, you add what you need: a branded app, extra trainers, Check-Ins AI or Zapier. Add-on prices are shown in US dollars, and you'll need to check the subscription prices on myPTHub's pricing page, as they vary with offers and billing period.
A quick way to compare: count your current clients, estimate where you'll be in a year, and list the extras you'd actually use. Then price both options against that list, not against the headline plan.
Branded apps: read the small print
Both tools can put your own brand in front of clients, but the costs work differently.
With Kahunas, the own branded app with your own App Store listings comes with the Ultimate plan. You'll also need an Apple developer account, which Kahunas says costs $99 USD a year, and it says 99% of apps go live within 30 days.
With myPTHub, there are two levels. A custom branded app is a one-time $95 add-on. A white label app with your own store listing is $145 a month as an add-on, or included in the Ultimate plan.
If a branded app is high on your list, work out the yearly cost of each route, including any developer account fees.
Our verdict by business type
Solo PT just starting out: try both, starting with myPTHub's trial. The 30-day trial needs no card, so it costs nothing to test with a few real clients. If you'd rather start even simpler, our free Omnirexis PT plan covers up to 2 active clients.
Established solo online coach: lean towards Kahunas. If nutrition coaching is a big part of what you do, Kahunas puts the large food database, barcodes, micronutrients and TDEE calculator on every plan. Pricing by client count is easy to predict as you grow, and Growth adds lead gen forms and automations for when you want to bring in more clients.
Small studio with in-person sessions and classes: lean towards myPTHub. Its plans list 1-to-1 bookings, group bookings, classes and live streams, which suit a studio timetable.
